Introduction
Prof. Dr. Christiane Becker is a physicist with over 15 years of experience in the field of optics for photovoltaics. Her current research interests include light management, nanotexturing, optical simulations, tandem solar cells, bifacial solar cells, perovskite and silicon solar cells, and energy yield calculations. The Platform Solar TAP offers a perfect opportunity for technology transfer from the Helmholtz Society into industry.
Solar TAP Project
Contribution to Solar TAP:
In her laboratories, lightweight textured substrates with superior light management capabilities are developed. Within Solar TAP, these textured substrates are optimized for improved growth of solution-processed solar cells with high throughput.
Uniqueness of Solar TAP:
Solar TAP is a real opportunity for both industry and Helmholtz scientists since it gives us the flexibility needed to quickly address industry needs while also preparing the technological basis required. Meanwhile the Solar TAP Network and the roadmap generated with industry input guides us to apply our resources towards relevant problems.
