Introduction
Prof. Dr. Uli Lemmer is an eminent optoelectronics enthusiast and professor of electrical engineering at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, where he leads the Light Technology Institute. He holds an extensive academic background with a diploma in physics from RWTH Aachen University and a Ph.D. from the University of Marburg.
Before his appointment to KIT, he did postdoctoral research at the University of California at Santa Barbara and was a group leader at LMU Munich. He contributed significantly to the fields of organic semiconductors, printed optoelectronic and photonic devices, and photovoltaics. He is also actively involved in shaping the next generation of scientists through his role as coordinator of the Karlsruhe School of Optics & Photonics (KSOP).
